Please join Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) for this Fair Housing Summit event, as we recognize April as Fair Housing Month. This event is hosted by the LASCO Fair Housing Project, which fights to end housing discrimination and ensure housing justice throughout southeast and central Ohio by educating housing providers about their fair housing responsibilities, empowering communities impacted by housing discrimination to bring necessary change and fighting for justice on behalf of those targeted by illegal housing discrimination. 

Summit attendees will receive training on fair housing basics, the interplay between fair housing and disability rights, and how Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protections impact fair housing.

Application was made to the Supreme Court of Ohio for 3.5 hours of CLE credit. 

2024 Clinic Curriculum Series - Completed

Legal Aid’s “2024 Clinic Curriculum” Series will kick off in January with a Weekly 1-Hour Training Series created specifically for lawyers who volunteer at our brief advice clinics. Attendees will receive CLE credit, practical tips, and digestible substantive legal knowledge in the areas we encounter most frequently at our advice clinics.

This 5-Part Series will take place on zoom on Thursdays from 12-1:00 on the following dates:

• Thursday January 18th - Probate - closed
• Thursday January 25th - Consumer Debt - closed
• Thursday February 1st - Divorce and Dissolution - closed
• Thursday February 8th - Custody and Support - closed
• Thursday February 15th - Landlord-Tenant
